    Q: Are video visits available?

A: Yes. While not all medical care can occur through a video visit, your MedStar Health provider can schedule a video visit to talk to you about your care and help you determine if you should come into the office. Please call your provider’s office to see if a video visit is right for you.

Q: What is the face mask policy for patients?

A: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new COVID-19 guidance recommending the use of face masks in public spaces. Face masks are required for everyone, regardless of symptoms.

Q: Will the provider have access to my electronic health record?

A: If you are a previous MedStar Health patient, a summary of your previous visit(s) will be accessible to the provider. Prior to seeing a provider, you will be able to communicate the reason for your visit.

"Going to the doctor’s office/urgent care with small children can be nearly impossible. Sometimes it’ll make us ignore our medical issues due to the inconvenience it would cause having to leave the house for an appointment. By the time I downloaded the virtual app, made my appointment/filled out the consent forms, I was seen by a provider within 30 mins! She was friendly, professional, and straightforward. I am impressed."
