John Smirniotopoulos, MD, is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Smirniotopoulos' graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2014, after which he pursued an internship in Transitional Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He then went to New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City where he completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency, as well as serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Smirniotopoulos completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in 2020. He spent 2020-2021 as an attending Interventional Radiologist and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, then relocated back to Washington, D.C. where he joined the faculty at MedStar.
