About me
Dr. Anil Kankaria is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internist. Prior to joining the Shah group, Dr. Kankaria was in private practice in Northern Virginia. "Dr. K.," as he is known to his patients, completed his residency at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, MD, and his gastroenterology fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
What he enjoys most in medicine is treating patients with conditions of the stomach, esophagus, pancreas and colon as well as liver problems such as hepatitis.
Dr. K and his wife have three children. In his free time he enjoys sports and various activities with his kids. He is also an avid volleyball, tennis and bridge player.
