Dr. David Mayer Named New CEO of the Patient Safety Movement Foundation

During the 7^th Annual Patient Safety, Science & Technology Summit, Dr. David Mayer, Executive Director of the MedStar Institute for Quality and Safety, was announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Patient Safety Movement Foundation (PSMF). PSMF was founded by Joe Kiani, the CEO of medical technology company Masimo, who set a goal to reach zero preventable patient deaths in the U.S. by 2020.
