MedStar Sports Medicine and MedStar NRH Rehabilitation Network Team Up To Partner with Athletic Performance Inc. (API)
GAMBRILS, MD – MARCH 16, 2017 – MedStar Sports Medicine along with MedStar Health Physical Therapy is proud to announce their partnership with Gambrills, Maryland based Athletic Performance Inc. (API), Maryland’s premier athletic campus. MedStar is the official medical team of the new Washington, D.C. Arena Football League Team, the Washington Valor. API will serve as the training facility for the Valor. Together, this exciting new partnership will provide expanded sports medicine services and training to the team. In addition, the entities will also provide sports medicine and physical therapy to local high school athletes and weekend warriors.
The full service rehabilitation site, which will be open Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 8 p.m., will serve residents and those in the Gambrills, Maryland community. The new MedStar Health Physical Therapy/MedStar Sports Medicine center opened officially to the public on March 8.

Founded in 2004 exclusively a Sports Performance training program, API opened the doors to its first training facility in Millersville, MD during the fall of 2005. The support of the surrounding communities provided API the opportunity for expansion in 2008 and most recently 2011 to the company’s current location in Gambrills, MD.
