MedStar St. Mary’s Earns Third Straight ‘A’ From Leapfrog’s National Hospital Safety Grade

Leonardtown, Maryland  – MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital has been awarded an “A” in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2019 Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing the hospital’s superior efforts in protecting patients from harm and providing safer health care. This is the third consecutive cycle in which the hospital has earned top marks.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to improving health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. The Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D or F to hospitals nationwide based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections, and other harms.
