MedStar NRH Network Medical Residents and Physicians made a very strong showing at the 2016 American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Conference (AAPM&R) Annual Assembly which took place recently in New Orleans.

Suzanne Groah, MD, Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Consultation Liaison Service and of Spinal Cord Injury Research at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital and Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Georgetown University recently received an exciting new grant award for field initiated research from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).

MedStar National Rehabilitation Network will host the 13th annual Super H 5K Run, Walk & Wheel on Sunday, September 18 for runners, walkers and adaptive athletes.

It is with great anticipation and pleasure that we announce an exciting change for MedStar Health Physical Therapy in Arlington. In an effort to better serve our patients, we are relocating our Ballston office to the MedStar Health Physical Therapy, Marymount location.

Patient care teams in nursing, therapy and medical affairs with MedStar National Rehabilitation Network are applying a new model of care, known as the Interdisciplinary Model of Care (IMOC), aimed at improving how health care is delivered and the experience patients expect from us. These demonstration units serve as a testing ground for physicians, nurses, case managers, therapists, and others to learn and practice the model of care before it is used at all MedStar hospitals.

MedStar NRH free adaptive exercise classes have crossed the Potomac and are now available at a new Fairfax location on Chain Bridge Rd.
