Advanced care for conditions that hinder blood flow through the veins
Venous disease conditions can damage the system of veins that keep blood flowing in one direction as it returns to the heart. The doctors in our Vascular and Endovascular Program specialize in treating venous disease and are recognized leaders in caring for deep venous issues. We’ll work with you to create a personalized treatment program that addresses your unique needs and condition.
Without proper care, venous disease can lead to a number of complications, such as leg and foot ulcers, dangerous blood clots, swelling of the legs and more.
We treat a number of venous diseases, including:
Tests
Diagnosing a potential venous disease is the first step to developing a treatment plan. Our specialists may recommend one or more diagnostic and imaging procedures.
Computerized tomography (CT) scan
The cardiac computed tomography scan, or cardiac CT, uses X-rays to create three-dimensional images of your heart and blood vessels.
Fluoroscopy
A fluoroscopy is an imaging technique that uses a continuous X-ray beam passed through the body to create real-time, moving images of your internal structures.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Magnetic resonance imaging, better known as cardiac MRI, is a combination of radio waves, magnets, and computer technology to create images of your heart and blood vessels.
Treatments
Our vascular team members work together and with other specialties to develop and implement individualized plans to treat a wide variety of conditions. This could include lifestyle modifications, medication, or more advanced treatments.
Venous disease treatments
Venous disease treatment may include medications, minimally invasive and surgical procedures to improve blood flow and circulation.
