About me
Beth Orrell is board certified as an adult nurse practitioner and has worked with MedStar Georgetown’s Palliative Medicine team since August 2014. She provides expert symptom management to patients facing life limiting illness. She also strives to treat the whole person, with emphasis on treating physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual distress.
Beth completed her MSN at the University of Pennsylvania and brings over 30 years of experience in caring for seriously ill patients. She completed her certification as an Advance Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) in 2015. She has helped to establish the No One Dies Alone program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Personally, Beth lives with her husband and three children. She enjoys singing, hiking and hosting friends for delicious meals and lively conversation.
