About me
Dr. Jennifer D. Son is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained breast surgeon. She is also a fellow of the American College of Surgery. Dr. Son's clinical interests include breast conservation, nipple sparing mastectomies, intraoperative radiation, oncoplastic breast surgery, risk-reducing breast surgery, and treatment of both benign and malignant breast disease.
Dr. Son has published papers and book chapters focusing on safety and efficacy of nipple sparing mastectomies, invasive lobular cancer, disparities in breast cancer care and the development of personalized breast cancer care. She is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
Her mission is to provide quality care to patients and to empower them to make the best medical decision for them through education and evidence-based medicine. Patients are unique and there is no "one size fits all". Working together and having excellent communication and transparency help provide compassionate and high quality care to each of her patients.
