I would have liked more detail of the different possible diagnoses

  • Mar 12, 2024

I felt like the doctor was telling me that I had unreasonable expectations for my recovery. Though he didn't literally say that, he did say that in all likelihood I would not be back to the way it was prior to surgery. During past appointments I thought he suggested that recovery would be slow, but would be close to full recovery. I am now 7+ months post surgery and I am still experiencing pain and limiting activity levels: difficulty/pain writing, cutting hard vegetables, and doing anything that requires flexibility in my hand and/or wrist. He did however address my newest symptoms (trigger finger) and new or more marked pain points. He was good at including me in today's treatment.

Provider seemed annoyed that I had questions even though the visit was brief. Explanation of condition was rushed and felt ambiguous.
