About me
Raena Olsen, DO, is a highly-skilled gastroenterologist who treats all gastrointestinal tract and liver conditions. Dr. Olsen joined MedStar Georgetown University Hospital after 14 years with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group in Beverly Hills, California, where she received the highest honor year after year in patient satisfaction. She was named “Top Doc” in 2020 and 2021 by Los Angeles Magazine.
Dr. Olsen provides a full scope of services, from routine procedures to advanced gastroenterology treatments. She has a particular interest in:

Dr. Olsen received her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford, New Jersey. She is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
She sees patients at MedStar Health Gastroenterology at Silver Spring and MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family and curling up with a good book.
