About me
Ronak Dixit, MD, is an attending otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. He treats all conditions relating to the ears, nose, and throat, including disorders of the tonsils, sinuses, voice, hearing, thyroid and salivary glands, and more. His clinical interests include sinus as well as voice disorders.
Dr. Dixit prioritizes a thorough diagnostic process to provide tailored medical and surgical treatment options to his patients. When appropriate, Dr. Dixit opts for minimally-invasive techniques that allow him to operate with precision. These techniques offer numerous benefits to patients, including reduced recovery time and less post-operative pain.
Dr. Dixit received his medical degree and residency training from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. During residency, Dr. Dixit was part of the hospital’s Leadership in Education and Patient Safety (LEAPS) committee, where he helped institute systemic changes to improve healthcare outcomes.
In his spare time, Dr. Dixit enjoys playing the piano and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Philosophy of Care
“While my specialty is in treating disorders of the ears, nose, and throat, I view each of my patients as a whole. Every person and situation is unique, so I always ask myself whether there are other medical problems or special circumstances that need to be considered. In order to provide the best possible treatment, I actively listen to patients’ concerns and goals before making my own plan of care. This is how I approach each and every one of my patients.”
