About me
Rumaisa Hameed, MD, is a board-certified hematologist/oncologist at the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. She offers patients throughout the southern Maryland region comprehensive, personalized care for a range of benign and malignant blood disorders and all types of cancers.
Dr. Hameed is passionate about caring for the whole patient at every stage of their cancer journey. Her focus is on benign and malignant blood disorders and the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancers including breast, gastrointestinal, liver, lung, genitourinary, and gynecologic cancers as well as melanoma and sarcoma. She provides cancer treatments including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, and works with patients on survivorship after cancer.
