Jungeun Choi, MD

Joone received her undergraduate degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. She went on to complete her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. She then joined our department as a general psychiatry resident in 2020 and has served as hospital chief resident at MGUH and the VA Medical Center during her PGY-4 year. As a resident, she completed the Psychoanalytic Fellowship Program. Since her PGY-3 year, Joone has been working with the Transplant Hepatology Team in inpatient and outpatient settings to help address psychiatric factors and concerns that can influence liver transplant outcomes. Joone plans to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a special interest in Transplant Psychiatry and Proactive Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
