Dr. Xiong is board-certified in general psychiatry and forensic psychiatry; she completed her residency training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine. Her research has centered on neuromodulation treatments for treatment-resistant depression and the conceptualization of extreme overvalued beliefs in the forensic arena. Dr. Xiong is an Assistant Professor of psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Georgetown Partial Hospitalization Program. She started and currently directs the Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) clinic at Georgetown, and will supervise and teach our residents regarding the use of TMS for treatment-resistant depression. In addition, she provides care for adults in the outpatient setting and also teaches and supervises Georgetown medical students and psychiatry residents.
