Dr. William Garmoe is the Director of Psychology for MedStar National Rehabilitation Network (MNRN). He is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist (ABPP-CN) specializing in the assessment and treatment of individuals who have and are experiencing traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, dementia, and other neurologic syndromes. Dr. Garmoe also provides specialty civil and criminal forensic consultation.
Dr. Garmoe holds appointments as Clinical Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and Neurology in the Georgetown University Medical School. He is a faculty member in the NRH Neuropsychology Fellowship and the Brain Injury Medicine Fellowship programs. He is also a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Garmoe has published research in the areas of self-awareness following brain injury and other topics and is a contributing author to the neuropsychology board certification study guide. Dr. Garmoe is also involved in the bioethics services at MNRN. He will be directing education in psychological testing in the residency program.
