After completing residency, Dr. Michael Dwyer joined the faculty of the Family Medicine Residency at MedStar Franklin Square. In addition to his role as residency faculty, he also worked part time at an Urgent Care Center for a year, followed by another year working in the ER at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. He served as the Assistant Program Director and Medical Director of the residency Health Center for a few years before becoming the Program Director in 2010. Areas of interest include pediatrics, inpatient medicine and electronic health records. Outside of work he enjoys skiing, soccer, mountain biking, golf, and coaching his children's youth soccer teams.
