Dr. Niloo Jalaly is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University as well as Associate Program Director and Chair of the Clinical Competency Committee for the Medstar Health Internal Medicine residency program. She completed her medical education at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Seeking further career advancement, she worked for two years as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Subsequently, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Medstar Health.
Upon completing her residency, Dr. Jalaly joined the academic faculty at Medstar Health working in the Heart Failure Unit at Union Memorial Hospital. Her current role involves teaching and guiding residents using evidence-based methods, particularly in the fields of heart failure and cardiology. She actively engages in research projects and is involved in remediation and mentoring as part of the Clinical Competency Committee. She is also a member of the Program Evaluation Committee, Curriculum Committee, and Ethics Committee. In addition to her clinical and academic responsibilities, Dr. Jalaly collaborates closely with nursing leadership in the Heart Failure Unit to drive quality improvement projects.
In her free time, Dr. Jalaly enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their dog. She enjoys cooking authentic Persian food, gardening, and seeing places with her family.
