Bhumika S. Gandhi, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and the Internal Medicine Clerkship Director at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She oversees student education in the Department of Medicine.
As a primary care physician, she enjoys caring for children and adults of all ages, and supervises in the Med-Peds resident clinic. Dr. Gandhi is also the founding Medical Director of the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Survivorship Program in the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is core faculty in the Med-Peds program and the Cardio-oncology fellowship program.
Dr. Gandhi enjoys mentoring medical students and residents. She is a member of several committees both in the medical school and in the hospital, including work on the Electronic Health Record, interprofessional education, and the medical school curriculum. An experienced educator, she has directed several other courses in both the pre-clinical and clinical medical school curriculum including the Clinical Skills Primer course, Advanced Diagnostic Testing course, Cardiovascular module, and the GIM elective. She has spoken at national and regional conferences on her cancer survivorship work.
Dr. Gandhi grew up in the Philadelphia area, earned Bachelor of Science and M.D. degrees from The George Washington University, and completed her combined Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Georgetown University in 2009.
