Alex Luta, MD

I was born in Columbia, SC, spent my childhood in Chapel Hill, NC, and I finished middle school & high school in Bethesda, MD. I am a proud triple Hoya, having gone to Georgetown for college, medical school, and residency! As an undergraduate, my major was in government, and my minor was in theology. During my residency, I am grateful to have been a member of the Michael Adams Clinician Educator Track, served on the MedStar Health Physician Leadership Council, and engaged in healthcare advocacy on Capitol Hill. My interests include healthcare policy and innovation, and I hope to pursue a fellowship in Rheumatology. When I’m outside of the hospital, I enjoy exploring the DMV, playing tennis, traveling, and watching Jeopardy!
