Dr. Notario’s research program focuses on understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression as well as those involved in the acquisition of resistance to anti-cancer therapies, with emphasis on signaling pathways that may be exploited to sensitize human tumors to chemotherapeutic drugs and/or radiation treatments. Dr. Notario has authored over 150 publications, and has been nationally and internationally recognized through invitations for membership in Editorial Boards and/or ad hoc reviewer for well-known scientific journals, for participation in scientific review/regulatory panels and advisory committees, and as a guest speaker at conferences and specialized symposia. Dr. Notario’s teaching activities include medical and graduate courses on various aspects of Biochemistry, Cell Biology & Microscopic Anatomy, Molecular Biology, Molecular Carcinogenesis, Radiation Biology, and Tumor Biology.
