Henry Boucher, MD, FAAOS
Henry Boucher, MD, FAAOS, serves as vice president of Medical Operations and Executive Pillar Chief for MedStar Medical Group. In this role, he oversees multiple service lines including orthopedics, MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute, Neurosciences, Plastic Surgery and Podiatry, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Boucher is also the Chair of the Department of orthopedics at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and a professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Georgetown University Medical School. He completed MedStar Health’s Physician Leadership Development program in 2018.
Dr. Boucher is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in joint replacement of the hip and knee and has extensive expertise in robotic assisted joint replacement surgery. He is known for high-quality surgical care and the implementation of care pathways including MedStar Health’s Outpatient Joint Replacement program.
Dr. Boucher has practiced at the MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore since 2002, where he also completed his residency training in 2001 followed by his fellowship at the Anderson Clinic in Virginia. Dr. Boucher graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont.
