Raleigh Heard
Raleigh Heard serves as the senior vice president of Operations for MedStar Medical Group, where, in partnership with clinical pillar leadership and MedStar Ambulatory Services, he will guide practice operations within the ambulatory care settings, lead MedStar Medical Group ASC activities, and be accountable for achieving the financial, operational, and quality objectives therein. Raleigh will also provide oversight and leadership to the contact center function that supports the physician enterprise in patient scheduling, as well as lead the strategic growth objectives of the enterprise through a highly effective business development strategy and process to include practice and facility acquisitions, service line expansion activities, and management of practice-related real estate assets.
Before joining MedStar Medical Group, Raleigh served as the president and chief operating officer of United Urology Group, where he was the operational lead for a $350M revenue portfolio spanning five states, including 52 clinics, 20 ambulatory surgery centers, and more than 135 urologists. Prior to his leadership role at United Urology Group, Raleigh held several leadership positions, including senior vice president in the radiology division at Envision Healthcare in Florida; senior vice president, operations and practice development at Eagle Hospital Physicians in Atlanta; and assistant vice president, surgical services and orthopedic institute at Catholic Health Services/St. Joseph Medical Center in Maryland. In addition, he was an executive fellow with Catholic Health Initiatives and an administrative fellow with the Mayo Foundation.
Raleigh earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration-Finance form Morehouse College and his Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He also obtained his Post-Masters Certificate in General Management from the Harvard Business School.
