Nizami Ahverdiyev

Nizami Ahverdiyev is the finance and awards management director at MedStar Health Research Institute. In this role, he leads the finance and post-award team. He oversees the budgeting, financial reporting, audit, and compliance management of the portfolio of commercial and non-commercial contracts from federal and non-federal sponsors.

Before joining MedStar, he served as Director of Finance and Operations at Public Health Institute. He is also certified in Federal Contracting and Government Financial Management.

Nizami received his master’s degree in public administration from East Caroline University and is certified in Federal Contracting and Government Financial Management.
