Prentice Parrish
Throughout Prentice Parrish’s over-20-year strategic marketing, communications, and branding career, he has successfully uncovered consumers’ and businesses’ needs, and developed award-winning communications campaigns that spoke to, and connected with the targeted audience – driving them to action.

Prentice brings a long record of success in executing innovative strategic communications & branding campaigns in high-performing b-2-b and b-2-c environments. He has used his expertise to contribute to the success of a variety of organizations, including Verizon Communications, U.S. Cellular, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Thomson Reuters, and Clarivate Analytics. His creativity and expertise have been broadly recognized, being a recipient of the Association of National Advertiser’s award for “Campaign with Significant Results”, and the American Advertising Federation Mosaic Award for “Advertiser of the Year”.

Currently, Prentice is Principal of Cerebro Communications, a branding and communications consultancy providing support to corporate, non-profit, and mission driven organizations, as well as high-impact individuals.

Serving as a mentor, Public Relations Committee Chairman, VP of Development, and a consultant for 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, D.C. for over 17 years gave Prentice the opportunity to address many of the social issues important to him. Education, Mentoring, Health & Wellness, and Economic Empowerment are the programmatic areas that the organization focuses on, as they seek to improve the quality of life for African American youth in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

As a speaker on topics ranging from targeted marketing, to branding and strategic communications, Prentice has spoken at a number of events and conferences across the country, including the iMedia Connection Brand Summit, the Texas Diversity & Leadership Conference, the California Diversity & Leadership Conference, and the National Organization for Diversity In Sales and Marketing Conference.

As a former member of Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Commission on African American Affairs, Prentice was an advocate on behalf of the District of Columbia's African American community, and worked to develop policy and legislation recommendations reflecting the socio-political agenda and interests of the African American community. Special emphasis was given to marginalized groups within the African American community, such as persons and families with low and moderate incomes, as well as those encountering educational, health, housing, and other social disparities.

Prentice earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, and an MBA from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. Prentice has served on the Board of Directors for Washington, D.C. chapter of the National Black MBA Association, and has been a member of the Association of National Advertisers Multicultural Marketing Committee. He has also volunteered at So Others Might Eat’s Center for Employment Training, tutoring individuals working to earn their GED. Prentice currently lives in College Station, TX, with his wife Tanisha, daughter Priya, and son Kingston.
