Tiara Hill is the patient navigator of the Colorectal Cancer Screening project at MedStar Health Research Institute. In this role, Tiara supports patients in completing their Colorectal Screening, provides screening options, and assists with any barriers.
Before joining MHRI, Tiara worked at MedStar Health for 17 years as an Office Administrator supporting multiple specialties such as Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Cardiology, Rheumatology, and OB/GYN. In this role, she has contributed significantly to improving conflict resolution, office workflow, team building, patient experiences, productivity, and implementation of clerical tasks and office policies, as well as bridging the gap between patients and providers.
Tiara is deeply committed to supporting and empowering individuals to overcome challenges and improve their health and lives. She aims to positively impact the community by providing resources, education, and support for youth and adults, focusing on health prevention and promotion, and delivering excellent customer service.
Tiara has her Mental Health First Aid certification and is pursuing her certification as a Community Health Worker at the Institute for Public Health Innovation.
