Seth Krevat, MD, practices palliative care at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, is the senior medical director and assistant vice president at the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare, and is an assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. As senior medical director, Dr. Krevat helps set the strategic vision for the center, aligning it with safety initiatives internal and external to MedStar Health. He leads the development of strategic partnerships with external industry, academic, and government partners to increase the center’s impact and improve research translation into practice. Previously, Dr. Krevat served as the assistant vice president of Safety, leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive patient safety program across the MedStar Health system. Before joining MedStar Health, he worked as a hospitalist and physician advisor at Virginia Mason Medical Center, collaborating with the Vice President of Finance to shape more efficient and cost-effective care delivery processes. Dr. Krevat is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English cum laude from Tufts University and a Medical Doctorate from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Seth enjoys spending time with his three children, long-distance running and reading in his spare time.
