Allison’s healthcare career began at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in 2000 when she was hired as a medical assistant. By 2006, she became a Product Line Analyst. Gaining knowledge and expertise through the years, Allison transitioned to a Quality Data Analyst at MUMH in 2008 and was promoted in 2010 to the Performance Improvement and Quality Manager there. Allison became the Integrated Director of Patient Experience for MGSH and MUMH in 2018. In that role she shepherded the development of the Patient Experience Domain Teams to concentrate on key areas of Patient Experience, led the transition at MGSH and MUMH from NRC to Press Ganey as MedStar’s patient survey partner, managed the Patient Advocates at MGSH and MUMH, and introduced the role of Patient Concierge as a patient resource for high-volume patient units at MGSH and MUMH.
Allison holds a Master of Arts with a concentration in Health Administration and Leadership and Development from the College of Notre Dame. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Trustees for The Catholic High School of Baltimore and was named Employee of the Year in 2022 by The Healthcare Council, Mid-Atlantic Region.
