MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, as part of the Medstar Health Colorectal Surgery Program, is a regional, national, and international destination for complex and comprehensive colorectal surgical care.

We treat hundreds of gastrointestinal conditions, with particular expertise in the treatment of difficult recurrent or metastatic colon and rectal cancers as well as complex inflammatory bowel disease. We are one of the few institutions around the country that perform complex multi-visceral surgery in conjunction with other specialists, including the use of intraoperative radiation.

Our surgeons are all fellowship trained, dual board-certified Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and our multidisciplinary integrated teams coordinate every step from start to finish.
