Volunteer opportunities
We are excited to welcome back our Volunteers to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and we are looking for new dynamic individuals to join our team.
We offer several exciting programs:
Junior Volunteer Program: This is our summer High School program for students between ages 16-18. Starting in mid to late June and ending in August prior to schools re-opening. Students volunteer four hours on assigned days in roles to comfort patients. This program is limited so apply the first Monday in February.
Adult Volunteer Program: This program is designed for adults ages 18 and up. Many roles and opportunities available. Some of the opportunities available are patient support, administrative support, Auxiliary gift shop, greeting, wayfinding, music, and art therapy. Baby Cuddlers Program is our most popular program. Pet therapy is one of our most desired programs.

Champions for MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
The Champions for MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center have contributed millions of dollars to benefit the advancement, progression, and essential needs of the hospital to help maintain its high standard of quality care, treatment, and education for its patients and community. The Champions are wonderful team of about 130 members who strive to meet the below mission.

To provide volunteer and other supplementary services to further the progress of the hospital

To donate funds to the use and advancement of the hospital
The Champion holds many vendor events, bake sales, and social activities to help raise money. Champions also runs the Auxiliary Gift Shop, located on the first floor of the Patient Tower Lobby (entrance 2). The Champions Board and fundraising committees meet frequently to coordinate and plan many new ways to meet this goal.
