Latisha Curtis is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Maryland and a proud member of the Early Childhood Innovation Network (ECIN) at Georgetown. Prior to joining Georgetown, Latisha worked with Johns Hopkins, Center for Prevention & Early Intervention and Baltimore City Public schools to develop and evaluate interventions to support teacher classroom management. During her time, she also led wellness groups for students and families and coached teachers to effectively implement the social-emotional curriculums in their K-2 classrooms. Currently, her research involvement includes developing and implementing programs that focus on the delivery and dissemination of early childhood and service provider wellness and that promote competency and resilience in providers and families alike. Latisha is project manager for the Head Start University Partnership grant and also works with the School of Continuing Studies on the evaluation of the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health certificate programs. She is excited to continue working with teachers, children, and families of Washington D.C. and be a part of the Hoya BFSA family!
