The Women’s Board has been involved in the Olney community for over 100 years! We are excited to share our rich history and mission.
Current events
Community events help the Women’s Board raise funds to support our hospital and its scholarship program while continuing to remain the leading philanthropic partner for MedStar Montgomery Medical Center.
Some of our events include:
- Children’s Holiday Shop – A shop for school-aged children to buy holiday gifts for family with the assistance of some special elves. We are also featuring a tree lighting ceremony
- Fall Festival & Bazaar - A fun family event with artisan vendors, food trucks, a children's area, entertainment, book and jewelry sales, and much more.
- Local Restaurant Fundraisers – Enjoy a dining experience and support the Women’s Board at the same time.
- Corks For a Cause & Bingo – Enjoy wine and appetizers while playing Bingo and bidding on silent auction items. Win fabulous prizes donated by local merchants and have a fun time with family, friends, and community members.
Past events
For decades, the Women’s Board was known for its beloved community events, the Gifts of Light ceremony and Picnic & Bazaar. After 35 years and 100 years, respectively, these events have been retired. We can still enjoy memories of them in the following pictures.
