Renie Freedman is President of RF&A, a marketing, branding and public relations firm. Her experience includes Senior Sales Executive as well as Management and Marketing positions in the Broadcasting Industry for over 25 years.
Beginning in radio, Renie was GSM of Metromedia’s WASH-FM, and held the position until she left radio to start a 16-year career in television. While serving on the WUSA-TV sales team she was named one of five Executives of the Year for the entire Gannett Company Worldwide. In 1993 Ms. Freedman created the station’s first Sales/Marketing Division, incorporating community-oriented, cause-related marketing programs involving clients with causes. Ms. Freedman became Marketing Director at Washington, D.C.,’s NBC4 in 1998, further developing the stations community programs.
In 2001, Ms. Freedman started RF&A working with clients in all aspects of Advertising, Branding, Marketing, Public Relations, Community Involvement, Cause-Related Marketing, Web Development and Social Marketing. Ms. Freedman’s strategic approaches have enhanced her client’s involvement in the communities they serve as well as strengthen their brand equity.
As one of the founding members for MedStar National Rehabilitation Network’s Super H 5KRun Walk & Wheel, Renie is dedicated to raising money for MedStar NRN’s Adaptive Sports Programs so she can share with others the same kind of support and encouragement her husband received after he was in a workplace accident that required the amputation of his leg.
