Megan Leffner, CFRE
Megan Leffner is the vice president of Philanthropy Programs at MedStar Health. In this role she provides executive leadership for all programmatic functions within philanthropy. She also serves as the lead philanthropy officer for MedStar Health Institutes and system initiatives.
Prior to joining MedStar Health in her current role, Megan was a senior philanthropy officer at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Wilmer Eye Institute. At Wilmer, Megan was responsible for securing philanthropic support for clinical, basic, and translational research. She is passionate about the impact of research in medicine and is eager to partner with the MedStar Health Research Institute to advance its mission.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Elon University in North Carolina. Megan maintains her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification and earned an executive certificate in human-centered design thinking from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
