Carrie E. Koenig, MBA, vice president of patient experience and communication, leads the company-wide effort to provide the best possible experience for patients and customers across MedStar Health Home Care, which serves patients in Maryland, D.C., and Northern Virginia. Koenig works closely with MedStar Health Home Care leaders in its four locations to plan, execute, and measure service improvement efforts, streamline operational strategies, and provide leadership and organizational development. She also leads MedStar Health Home Care’s internal communication, marketing and philanthropic efforts.
Koenig started at MedStar Health in 2000 and has worked with various organizations across the system, including MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Health Corporate, and MedStar Health Research Institute. During her MedStar Health Home Care tenure, she previously led the company’s immunization and wellness and private duty companies. Koenig has earned over 20 international and regional awards for successful implementation of marketing and internal communication strategies during her career.
Koenig earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a specialization in Public Relations and a Certificate in Marketing from Towson University. She earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland.
