Jeanne is the director of Nursing Professional Development at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. Jeanne started her nursing career in June 2001 at MedStar St. Mary’s in the Medical-Surgical unit as a new-to-practice registered nurse after completing her associate of science degree in nursing at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). She later transferred to the Women’s Health & Family Birthing Center (WHFBC). During her time in the WHFBC, Jeanne held various positions including clinical nurse, charge nurse, clinical coordinator, and director. In 2016, Jeanne earned her master of science in nursing degree from Walden University, specializing in Education. In 2018, Jeanne began teaching at CSM in the pre-licensure nursing program. In January 2023, she returned to MedStar St. Mary’s as the nurse residency coordinator until she became the director of NPD in March 2024.
Jeanne is a member of the Association for Nursing Professional Development and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrical & Neonatal Nurses. She is a Certified Nurse Educator and holds other credentials including national board certification in inpatient obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring.
