Kristin Spurr, MSN, RN-BC, NEA-BC, CPAN, Assistant Vice President of Perioperative and Procedural Services, discovered her passion for pre-and post-operative care early in her career while working in the PACU/ICU at George Washington University. She has since held leadership roles in various healthcare settings, including Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, Straub Clinic & Hospital in Honolulu, and several organizations in California, such as UC San Diego Health. During her time at UC San Diego Health, she led a project to improve care for patients with obstructive sleep apnea, which was recognized nationally at the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) national conference and published in the Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing. Kristin returned to the D.C. area in 2021 as the Divisional Director of Surgical Services at The George Washington University Hospital before taking on her current role in 2023. She holds an MSN from Western Governors University and a BSN from Chamberlain University.
