Dr. Melanie Grady is a past fellow and current Program Director. Her journey in quality and safety began as an attendee at the Academy for Emerging Leaders in Patient Safety (AELPS). Dr. Grady was chosen as the inaugural MIQS Fellow, graduating in 2018 with a certificate in Healthcare Quality and Safety Leadership from Georgetown University. Upon completing the fellowship, she joined the MedStar Health Quality and Safety team as Associate Medical Director for Quality and Safety. She currently serves as Medical Director within the department, consulting on patient safety event management and quality and safety strategy across MedStar Health’s broad ambulatory network. Dr. Grady provides clinical care at MedStar Health Primary Care at Olney as a primary care doctor.
