Clay Padgett is vice president of the MedStar Health Simulation Training & Education Lab (SiTEL). He came to MedStar Health SiTEL after almost 25 years dedicated to public service. Commissioned as a United States Army Infantry Officer in May 1992, Clay served in a variety of command and staff assignments all over the world, including multiple operational deployments to Haiti, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. After serving just over 22 years as a U.S. Army officer, Clay retired from military service and pursued his master’s degree before returning to public service as a fifth-grade science teacher in Southeast Oklahoma.
Clay’s personal and professional education includes receiving his Bachelor of Science in biology (pre-medicine) from Tarleton State University, graduating from the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College, and receiving his Master of International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.
