Allison Glubiak, CNM, is the director of advanced practice providers (APPs) for the Women’s and Infants’ Service Line at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Allison graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Virginia, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Midwifery from Columbia University.
She began her career as a certified nurse midwife at the Community Health Network and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, and later at the Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center in Redwood City, California.
Allison joined MedStar Washington in 2018. After three years, she was named APP Co-Lead overseeing the supervision of 13 midwives. In her role, Allison assisted with individual reviews, leading staffing meetings, scheduling, coordinating students, and orienting new team members. Named to her current role in March 2023, Allison supervises the team of midwives, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who practice throughout Women’s and Infants at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
Proficient in Medical Spanish, Allison is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and the Washington, D.C. Affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
