Application Information—The MedStar Health—Georgetown University Hospital Residency Program in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery

How to apply

Two students in MedStar Health's Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Residency program study together in a classroom.MedStar Georgetown Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery participates with the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). All applications are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). To apply to our residency program, please submit all documents through ERAS.

The following documents are required in order to have your application reviewed:

  • ERAS common application form
  • USMLE Step I transcript
  • USMLE Step II CK and CS when available
  • Medical school transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Dean’s Letter
  • 3 letters of recommendation, including one departmental support letter

Our Applicant Interview Selection Committee will begin reviewing applications in October. Each application is given a holistic review period. We are participating in the common interview offer date of November 8th, 2024 as well as signaling. Selection for an interview is based on several factors, including academic and clinical performance and signaling will be utilized as one of many metrics. We will invite select prospective candidates to interview on one of the dates listed below:

  • December 12th, 2024
  • January 10th, 2025
