Dr. Baker is a Professor and Program Director in the Georgetown Department of Plastic Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and his dental degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He completed residencies in Oral/Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center/Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
He has edited two textbooks and has published twenty-four chapters and forty-two publications. He is on the Boards of the American Society of Craniofacial Surgery, Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Association of Pediatric Plastic Surgery. His special interests include aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the head and face, rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty, skin cancer, body contouring, breast reduction/lift surgery, and pediatric plastic surgery.

Grant M. Kleiber, MD

Dr. Kleiber is Assistant Professor in the Georgetown Department of Plastic Surgery. He completed his medical doctorate at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. He later completed his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Finally, he completed a fellowship in Hand & Peripheral Nerve Surgery and Microsurgery at Washington University's Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Kleiber specializes in a broad range of peripheral nerve surgeries, including nerve reconstruction, nerve transfers, and nerve decompression. He has published nine journal articles and seven book chapters. Dr. Kleiber is recognized under these highly accredited associations: American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Society for Peripheral Nerve.
Kenneth L. Fan, MD

Dr. Kenneth Fan graduated from the Early Entrance Program at California State University Los Angeles at the age of 18. He then went on to complete medical school at the University of Miami, where he performed a year of dedicated clinical and basic science research at the University of California, Los Angeles. This was followed by 6 years training at Georgetown in plastic surgery, and an additional year of fellowship in microsurgery.
His clinical interest includes breast reconstruction, microsurgery, diabetic lower extremity salvage, and lymphedema. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts and chapters, and over 90 regional, national, and international panels, presentations, and posters. He has won research awards at the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons.
He is a peer-reviewer for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open. His research interests are currently focused on reducing surgical morbidity and recovery, and improving delivery of healthcare within plastic surgery. His practice is based out of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
Rajiv Parikh, MD, MPHS

Dr. Raj Parikh is a Plastic Surgeon at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Attending Surgeon at MedStar Plastic Surgery/Georgetown University School of Medicine. His clinical interests are reconstructive surgery to restore form and function in patients with cancer or traumatic injuries. He specializes in breast reconstruction, functional limb salvage, and facial paralysis surgery.
Dr. Parikh is from North Florida and completed medical school at University of South Florida, where he graduated with academic excellence and earned membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed plastic surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital and specialty fellowship training in Reconstructive Microsurgery and Complex Oncological Reconstruction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Dr. Parikh is an active researcher and has published over 40 scientific papers and book chapters in reconstructive surgery. He completed a Master of Population Health Sciences degree at Washington University School of Medicine and his research training was supported by a National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Research Service Award. Dr. Parikh was an inaugural recipient of the Plastic Surgery Foundation Clinical Research Leaders Scholarship Award. Dr. Parikh is nationally involved with plastic surgery organizations. He served as a resident ambassador to the Editorial Board, and is a peer-reviewer, for the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS). He is on several patient safety and research committees for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and recently served a 3-year term on the American College of Surgeons’ Plastic Surgery Advisory Council.

David H. Song, MD, is an internationally recognized expert in plastic surgery, breast reconstruction and surgery for lymphedema. Dr. Song serves as both the Regional Chief of Plastic Surgery for the MedStar Washington Region, and the Academic Chair for Plastic Surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Song received his medical degree from UCLA, his MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and completed residencies in both general and plastic surgery from the University of Chicago Hospitals, where he also completed his microsurgery fellowship.
A well-respected plastic surgeon with additional training in reconstructive microsurgery, Dr. Song is recognized as a leading pioneer in chest wall reconstruction techniques, and oncoplastic surgery. Most recently, he was chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The University of Chicago Medicine. He is also the immediate past president of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and a Director for the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A widely published and prolific researcher, Dr. Song places a strong emphasis and focus on individualized patient care and educating the next generation of plastic surgeons with that philosophy.
Laura Tom, MD

Dr. Tom completed her surgical training at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she helped treat a high volume of patients from all around the Pacific Northwest. She joined Medstar Washington Hospital Center after completing a specialized fellowship in microsurgery and lymphatic surgery at Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain. During her fellowship, she visited hospitals across Europe and Asia, learning from and networking with experts in complex reconstruction from around the world.
Dr. Tom’s practice at MedStar Washington Hospital Center includes pressure wound surgery, breast surgery, body contouring, complex reconstruction for trauma, cancer, and limb salvage, and the surgical treatment of lymphedema. More specifically, Dr. Tom specializes in microsurgical complex reconstruction techniques, including microvascular reconstruction, and super-microsurgery for lymphedema.

Christopher E. Attinger, MD

Dr. Attinger received his medical degree from Yale University College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and his plastic surgery residency at New York University. In addition, Dr. Attinger completed a vascular fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and hand surgery fellowship at New York University.
Dr. Attinger's special interests include functional limb salvage, reconstruction of orthopedic cancer defects, treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, treatment of difficult wounds, including osteomyelitis and radiation injuries, treatment of ischemic wounds, functional lower limb amputations, and revision surgery. His research interests include wound-healing, implications of angiosomes, and functional amputations of the lower limb.
Karen K. Evans, MD, FACS

Dr. Karen Kim Evans is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Medical Center. She trained at Georgetown University Medical Center and joined the faculty in the department in the Center for Wound Healing.
She is also the medical student clerkship director for Plastic Surgery. Her interests include all aspects of reconstructive surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, microsurgery, and limb salvage. She is active nationally and internationally in a variety of academic pursuits including lecturing and publishing on reconstructive surgery.
Along with multiple research grants and several awards for excellence in medical student and resident education, Dr. Evans is active in the editorial peer-review process for clinical journals and has published numerous manuscripts and book chapters in reconstructive plastic surgery. She is also an active board member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Steinberg is a fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon specializing in diabetic limb salvage and wound healing. He received his DPM from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida and completed residency training in podiatric surgery from the Northern Virginia Podiatric Residency Program in Fairfax. Dr. Steinberg completed a fellowship in Diabetic Foot-Limb Salvage at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His interests include limb salvage, treating the diabetic patient and podiatric education.
Dr. Steinberg is Co-Director, Center for Wound Healing and is the Program Director, Podiatric Surgical Residency, MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

James P. Higgins, MD

Dr. Higgins serves as the fourth chief in the history of the Curtis National Hand Center. He completed his undergraduate studies at Williams College and received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Rochester and a hand surgery fellowship at the Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Higgins sub-specializes in upper extremity microvascular surgery. His clinical and research interests include vascularized bone reconstruction of extremity nonunions, functioning muscle reconstruction of the upper limb, toe transfer digital reconstruction, complex reconstruction of upper extremity trauma, and vaso-occlusive disease of the hand. He directs the microsurgical didactic lecture and anatomy program and the Hand Center’s biannual flap course.
Dr. Higgins serves on multiple national administrative committees for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM), American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Gabriel Alfonso Del Corral, MD

Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Del Corral has a specific interest in working with breast cancer patients. Dr. Del Corral has extensive experience performing a wide variety of breast reconstruction procedures, including the DIEP/TUG flap as well as several other flap techniques, the two-stage tissue expander/implant, and the one-stage direct to implant reconstruction. He is also highly skilled in treating patients with post-surgical lymphedema using the most advanced microsurgical techniques.
He is a member of professional societies that include the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, and the American Society of Lymphatic Surgery, among others. He has been named a “Top Doctor” by Baltimore Magazine for plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, and body contouring.

After earning her undergraduate degree at Yale University, Dr. Catherine Hannan completed her medical degree at Georgetown University Hospital and her plastic surgery residency at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital program. She has been working at the VA Hospital since 2011 and in 2014 became Chief of the Plastic Surgery division. She is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
As an assistant professor in plastic surgery with Georgetown School of Medicine, she is involved in both medical student and resident education and is particularly interested in mentorship of young women aspiring to a career in surgery.
Dr. Hannan’s practice focuses on general reconstruction; skin cancer, breast surgery and reconstruction, wound care, and limb preservation.
Albert K. Oh, MD

Albert K. Oh, MD, is a surgeon specializing in cleft/craniofacial surgery and pediatric plastic surgery. Dr. Oh has published many peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters and is a member of the Plastic Surgery Research Council. His current research interests involve altered neurophysiology of patients with craniofacial anomalies, biological markers in cleft lip/palate, craniofacial trauma, and vascular anomalies.

He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and has been voted in the top 1% of plastic surgeons by US News & World Report. His special interests are aesthetic surgery of the face and body.
